Creative Keyz Performance Tips

 

WEEKS before Master class, Recital or Exams:

​- students are encouraged to tape their pieces on their cell without stopping, then listen to it and practice the hesitant places. Play then for real people and practice bowing with the introduction.

 

DAY OF Performance:

  • warm up with scales and other pieces; stay out of the sun

  • listen to your recording ('I can play this!')

  • do not overpractice and get too tired

  • study score; play the piece on a table

  • no chocolate or caffeine day before;  dress in layers 

  • bring gloves to keep fingers warm, cloth to wipe hands &  book

DURING Performance:

Audience - please turn off cell phone ringers & and film only your family (a distance away so not to disturb the performer's concentration)

​

Performers - before: wear your gloves; fill negative mind chatter with positive (remember the events that went well before); you may step outside the office before your turn if you wish to make big movements)

MEDIA

Any pictures or videos Creative Keyz (CK) takes at recitals or master classes may be showcased on CK website or CK facebook (with no compensation to others). If parents are not in agreement, kindly inform CK. 

 

​Re:  other pictures taken at CK recitals or master classes, CK is not held responsible for different individuals' media application (there will be no compensation from Creative Keyz).​​
